"What is a Light Fighter? What is the purpose of this Discord server?
Historically, light fighters fought as scouts, raiders, and skirmishers who fought in a loose formation ahead of the main effort to harass, delay, disrupt supply lines, and generally "soften up" an enemy before the main battle.
The Light Fighter must embody a light fighting ethic that exists and manifests itself into a distinctive tactical style, with freedom from dependence on fixed lines of communication, and with a strong propensity for self-reliance.
Emergent warfare calls for likeminded individuals to build a community of thinkers who use broadly available commercial technologies and proven tactics to be an asset; in all operating environments.
Check out the Light Fighter Share Drive, which has an abundance of resources for you to use and will be updated bi-weekly as we continue to collect more resources for the community to use and share.
Lastly, our goal is to put together a Print only Zine, titled “Light Fighter Manifesto”. The intent of this zine is to feature members of the community who want to write and share their expertise in the topics that relate to this community. Profits will be used in two ways. To cover printing costs and to inject money into member/community based projects that will hopefully spur creativity, innovation and better product design for our member base.
