With his armored recovery and weight, Dedede just doesn’t die, living past 150% and abusing rage to destroy frustrated opponents. However, due to his size, fastfaller status, poor out of shield options, and high endlag on most of his moves, Dedede loses to patient keepaway and smart rushdown. With the worst airspeed in the game, he’s easily juggled and most characters can easily tack 50-70% on Dedede with a single whiff punish. While he definitely has many bad matchups, none of them are hopeless, and the patient Dedede always has their chance! This King can kill any character at 0%, has decent combos that pour on damage, and aerials that can be safe on shield.
