Server Details

This server is all about the scientific study of neurons, the systems they form, and the complex behaviour that emerges from them. Our community is passionate about diving deep into the core principles of neuroscience, from cellular processes to large-scale neural networks. We aim to stay closely connected to the raw and foundational body of knowledge in the field, keeping discussions grounded in the latest research and discoveries. The server icon by neuroscience pioneer Santiago Ramón y Cajal shows drawn neurons from a pigeon's cerebellum (see: Golgi's method). The banner (IMBA, Lancaster, CC BY-SA 4.0, digitally enhanced) is a cerebral organoid cross-section (Lancaster, M., Renner, M., Martin, CA. et al. Cerebral organoids model human brain development and microcephaly. Nature 501, 373–379 [2013], Fig. 1c).
