The Butterfly Sanctuary

The Butterfly Sanctuary is a peer support community for people recovering from eating disorders. We strive to transform lives by encouraging others to challenge disordered patterns and make the recovery process feel less isolating and scary. In October 2020, The Butterfly Sanctuary was founded by two close friends. They supported each other through the ups and downs of eating disorder recovery. They decided they wanted to share the support they gave to each other, and the community blossomed into what it is today. ​The Butterfly Sanctuary is not a substitute for treatment, counseling, medical assistance, or professional help of any kind. However, we are dedicated to supporting those who can't receive the professional treatment they need to recover.
