The Redot Community is a vibrant and welcoming space for indie developers gathered around the Redot Engine, a free and open source game engine used for creating 2D and 3D games. We believe that your game should be made with your rules.
This server is apolitical, meaning that we don't care about your personal or political views. Everyone is here to make games.
There are several channels to discuss all aspects of game development, ask for help, showcase your projects, and leave suggestions for improving the engine. The Redot Engine devs are on this server too, so there's no barrier between the community and engine development. You can speak directly to the Redot Founders and Developers.
The server hosts quarterly Game Jams that run for 2 weeks, allowing people to participate while still being able to maintain the everyday responsibilities and obligations in the personal lives. There's even a Game Jam section in the server dedicated to finding teammates and helping each other during the jam.
And if you need a break from game development, our general chat serves as the off-topic channel and we host community game nights where we get together and play games.
